About
Ken Chasin - Watercolor Artist
My introduction to the world of fine arts was at the age of 16 when I studied figure drawing and still life painting using oils at the Brooklyn Museum which is one of the oldest and largest art museums in the U.S.
Upon graduating from college, I relocated to Boston and studied multiple fine art mediums at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. It was here I was introduced to watercolor painting.
Initially I had wanted to be an architect because of my fascination with perspective and symmetry. This fascination carried over into my watercolor painting.
One of my proudest art accomplishments was being one of the 14 winners out of over 300 entrants to a nation-wide art calendar contest sponsored by AARP.
I currently reside in Virginia, am a widower and an avid tennis player.
